The Snowdon Alumni – how we started
When Hugh McLeod PhD received his Snowdon Award in 1988 to assist with his travelling expenses whilst studying Economics at UCL, he had no idea that, 20 years later, he would be asked to address some new Snowdon students at a reception in the House of Commons.
Hugh was heartened by the positive response to his speech, and after meeting the students and Lord Snowdon at this event in March 2008, he proposed the concept of the Alumni Group.
