Every year, we provide students with physical disabilities with grants, ranging from £250 to £2,500. These help cover additional costs, like computers, mobility equipment or human help that push up the already high costs of being a student or trainee.
Whether they fund a sign language interpreter, a laptop, transportation or something more specific, our grants can change people's lives. They provide students with the opportunity to access education or training and enjoy a level of independence that would not otherwise be possible.
Whatever your situation – whether you are already studying, starting a new course or retraining following an accident or illness – you may be eligible to apply for one of our Snowdon awards.
If you decide to apply, just follow the links from this page.
Applications cover such things as
- Human help – sign language interpreters and people to take notes
- Computer equipment
- Adapted or additional accommodation
- Travel costs
- Mobility equipment
- Other costs which relate solely to disability
