Downing Street reception launches anniversary
A number of our long-term supporters and also, some newer friends, joined with a few of our founding trustees to mark the start of the charity's 25th anniversary at a private reception in 10 Downing Street hosted by Cherie Booth QC.
Cherie gave a speech recognising the scheme's achievements, including the awarding of more than £1.7 million in grants to over 1,400 students. She also spoke of our uniqueness and the huge range of students we have supported. Their abilities, impairments, backgrounds and study choices vary enormously.
Chloe Franks, a student supported by us 10 years ago replied, saying what a difference her Snowdon Award had made to her life and she thanked Lord Snowdon on behalf of all past and present students.
